This Refund and Cancellation Policy is designed specifically for a tourist guide or agency operating in Morocco. It integrates local business realities—such as non-refundable deposits for Riads and desert camps—with international consumer expectations and Moroccan Law 31-08 (Consumer Protection).

At [Your Business Name], we commit significant time and financial resources to planning your Moroccan adventure. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to you while protecting our local partners (drivers, riad owners, and nomadic hosts) who often require non-refundable prepayments to guarantee availability.
Booking Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of [e.g., 20% or 30%] is required to secure your reservation. This deposit covers administrative costs and prepayments to third-party providers.
Final Balance: The remaining balance must be paid [e.g., 30 days] before the tour start date. If the balance is not paid by this date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and retain the deposit.
If you must cancel your trip, you must notify us in writing via email. The following cancellation fees apply based on the date we receive your notice:
| Notice Period | Refund Amount |
| 60+ Days before start | 100% of tour price (minus non-refundable deposit & bank fees) |
| 31 – 59 Days before start | 50% of the total tour price |
| 15 – 30 Days before start | 25% of the total tour price |
| Less than 15 Days before start | 0% Refund (Total tour price retained) |
No-Show Policy: If you fail to arrive at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time, no refund will be issued.
Early Departure: No refunds or credits will be provided for any unused portion of the tour once the trip has commenced (e.g., unused hotel nights, meals, or excursions).
We reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for reasons including, but not limited to, guide illness or operational issues. In this event:
You will receive a 100% refund of all monies paid to us.
We are not responsible for any “incidental expenses” you may have incurred (e.g., non-refundable international flights, visa fees, or vaccinations).
Under Moroccan Law 31-08, we are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to Force Majeure. This includes natural disasters (earthquakes, floods), civil unrest, strikes, or government-mandated travel restrictions.
In these cases, we cannot guarantee a cash refund if funds have already been paid to local suppliers.
Instead, we will issue a Travel Credit Voucher for the full amount paid, valid for [e.g., 24 months] from the original tour date.
Date Changes: If you wish to change your tour dates, we will try to accommodate you. A change fee of [e.g., 500 MAD] may apply, plus any price differences in seasonal accommodation rates.
Transfer of Booking: You may transfer your booking to another person at least 14 days before the tour, provided they meet all health and safety requirements for the trip.
Method: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method (Credit Card, PayPal, or Bank Transfer).
Timeline: Please allow 15 business days for the refund to be processed on our end.
Transaction Fees: Please note that bank transfer fees, currency conversion fees, and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
