A 4x4 vehicle crossing golden sand dunes

Full-day 4x4 safari · From Agadir

Agadir Mini Sahara Jeep Safari with Lunch

Leave the resort strip behind for a long, varied day in the Souss region: fishing coves on the Atlantic, the walled town of Tiznit, a tajine lunch and a wander through the golden dunes known locally as the Mini Sahara. It is a taste of desert scenery close to the coast, not an overnight Sahara expedition.

  • Full day (about 9 hours)
  • Round trip from Agadir
  • Easygoing

Your route

Moment by moment.

Timings are a flexible guide, not a fixed schedule. Youssef adapts each private departure to conditions, opening hours and your pace.

  1. Morning

    Pickup in Agadir

Your driver-guide collects you from your hotel and heads south in an air-conditioned 4x4. Pickup in Taghazout can be arranged when you ask for your proposal.

  2. Mid-morning

Craft stop and the Atlantic coast

Pause to see local pottery and crafts, then follow the road to the ocean for photos above the beach and the fishermen’s caves.

  3. Late morning

    Souss-Massa countryside

Drive through farmland, argan trees and small villages, with comfort and photo stops along the way.

  4. Early afternoon

    Tiznit old town

Walk along the ramparts and through the medina, known for its silver jewellery and artisan workshops.

  5. Lunch

    Tajine in a local home

Sit down to a slow, home-style tajine with salads and seasonal fruit. Tell us about vegetarian or other dietary needs in advance.

  6. Afternoon

    Mini Sahara dunes

Spend free time among the dunes: walk, take photos or, where available, try a short camel ride paid locally.

  7. Late afternoon

    Reservoir viewpoint and return

Stop at a viewpoint over the reservoir on the way back and arrive at your hotel in the evening.

Wondering what guests say? Read live Tripadvisor reviews

  1. It is a long day: about nine hours including driving, stops and lunch.
  2. The Mini Sahara is a coastal dune landscape, not the great Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi. For those, see the Merzouga journeys.
  3. Off-road sections can be bumpy; the trip is not recommended with back problems or during pregnancy.
  4. Bring closed shoes, sun protection, a light layer for the coast and a camera.
  5. Pickup in Taghazout, exact times and the lunch location are confirmed in your written proposal.
