Your route

Day by day.

Timings are a flexible guide, not a fixed schedule. Youssef adapts each private departure to conditions, opening hours and your pace.

  1. Day 1

Marrakech · High Atlas · Aït Ben Haddou · Zagora

Leave Marrakech early and climb the Tizi n’Tichka road, pausing at safe panoramic viewpoints. Continue to UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou for a guided walk through its earthen lanes, then lunch near Ouarzazate. Travel through Agdz into the palm-filled Draa Valley, where kasbahs and villages follow the river south. Near Zagora, transfer by dromedary or vehicle for sunset, welcome tea, dinner, music and a night at camp.

  2. Day 2

Zagora · Draa Valley · Ouarzazate · Marrakech

Wake for the changing dawn light and breakfast at camp. When timing and opening conditions allow, add a short stop for Tamegroute’s distinctive green pottery. Retrace the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate for lunch, then cross the High Atlas and arrive in Marrakech in the evening.

Wondering what guests say? Read live Tripadvisor reviews

  1. The road journey is substantial on both days; expect roughly 7–8 hours in the vehicle on Day 1 including the mountain crossing and stops.
  2. Zagora offers rocky, palm and pre-Saharan scenery with smaller dunes. Choose Merzouga if sweeping Erg Chebbi dunes are essential.
  3. Driving times are estimates and can change with traffic, weather, roadworks and mountain conditions.
  4. Accommodation category, exact inclusions and room configuration are confirmed in your personal proposal.
  5. Pack a small bag for your night at the desert camp; larger luggage can stay safely in the vehicle.
  6. Desert temperatures change sharply by season. Camp heating, air-conditioning and private-bathroom availability depend on the selected camp category.
  7. Families are welcome, but child seats, walking tolerance and long drive days should be discussed before booking.
