About Ouarzazate
Ouarzazate sits where the High Atlas meets the pre-Saharan plains. Its kasbahs and nearby ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, have appeared in many films and series, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
The town itself is a practical base; the real draw is the scenery around it: palm valleys, rocky plateaus and the road south toward the dunes.
